What are the benefits of access control systems?

There are numerous benefits for businesses with access control systems.

For one, rather than having to carry a key, you can simply swipe a card or punch in a number. If a key card is ever lost, you can easily deactivate the card.

Do you need to control who comes in and out of a building? No problem! Many access control systems allow you to set that up.

What is the best access control system for my business?

There are three primary access control systems: traditional wired, stand alone, and single door wired.

Traditional Wired

If your business has a lot of doors, we would recommend going with the traditional wired system. Traditional wired access control systems involve wiring through your electrical system. They generally have a power supply, a controller to control the system, and software to make edits and changes to door codes. For pricing on these systems, please contact your local Arizona locksmith at PickNick Locksmith

Best for: large businesses or corporations

Standalone System

Next, we have the standalone access control system, which we recommend for small businesses in Arizona. These are individual systems that are set up on individual doors, and installation is much simpler, resulting in lower costs.

The standalone systems generally have a key card to swipe or a pin to enter through the door.

Best for: small businesses

Single Door

Like the standalone system, the single door system is on a single door (or sometimes up to two doors, but like the traditional wired system, it requires wiring. Unlike the traditional wired, though, the system can be plugged into a nearby outlet rather that connecting wires throughout your building.

Best for: small businesses

How much do access control locks cost?

Before providing the cost per access control lock, you’ll need to decide on the type of access control lock you want (PickNick Locksmith can help determine the best lock for you). From there, you can expect the cost of the system itself and the installation fee. It’s important to keep in mind, the more doors you have, the greater the price. That said, this can range anywhere from $400 – $3,500 per door.
